“It’s one of the world’s best kept secrets that art makes people sane and happy… if [art] makes a person expanded and connected and joyous and vibrant and beautiful, it may make us a little nervous, but maybe we should try it.”
— Julia Cameron

Be more creative in 2018! We'll meet once a month, grab tea or coffee, and I'll provide a short mindfulness experience - bringing in poetry, images, short writing exercises - to help us connect with our creativity. I'll introduce that day's art experience and the supplies and mediums we'll be working with, and we'll begin. I'll be available as a gentle guide, as needed, to support your creative process.

Some of what’s in store: Making Matchbox Altars; Painting papers and making a book using our painted papers; Prayer flags – using image transfer, paint, stamps; Choir- practicing a song and singing together; Small quilts with fabric and papers and hand sewing; Writing from the heart, grounded in the earth; Abstract self-portrait; Line-dancing; Vision dolls

From 1pm – 5pm on the following Saturdays in 2018: Feb. 17, Mar 10, April 21, May 19, Jun 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 22, Oct. 20, Nov. 18 Dec. 15
